Well it has been 48 days and 11½ hours and still missing Coco, trouble is not able to get rid of her dishes or collars. Put them in a bowl with the rest of her stuff and keep it in the kitchen as a reminder like I need that. Have ballons that I some times get and put with her stuff...I dont think she will be back to get them. Not the same without her.

Hang in there, Steve.  Two years and one month since I lost my sweet Tinsel and I still miss her.  But I'd have missed so much more if I'd have never had her for my friend.  Corgis are worth loving and worth the sorrow, too.

Thanks Gromit and Doug. For some reason only one image came up and I just can not stay one line tonight. I was saying that Dino used to have a black spot on his nose when he was a pup and it went away before he was one or two years of age.

I'm so sorry:(

I wouldn't get rid of her stuff.. Maybe put it away, but not get rid of it. I don't think memories should be let go, and having keepsakes isn't a bad thing-at least, I don't think.

I still have a collar from a beloved dog I had when I was in my teens  ( a long long time ago....)  I's traveled with me all over the world :-)

I still have the doggie backpack from my chow and husky mix, Odie, from 15 yrs ago.  It is too big to fit my Corgis now, but I never could bring myself to throw it away.  It has my memory of over 30 Colorado fourteeners climbed with him.

Oh, yes! Thanks for reminding me, I also have 3 dog-packs from my hiking days on the Appalachian Trail with my Alaskan Malamutes. We logged 1000 miles together over the years, the packs are all beat up from wear and the Mals awaiting me in doggy heaven, maybe hanging out with you Chow/Husky mix ....sounds like he was a great dog.

Its been over a month now since we lost Rugby and I still tear up every day over his lost. I went to get rid of his old bowl and collar the other day but I just couldn't. My daughter send me a picture frame with this poem. It sits on my desk where I can read it everyday.

Grieve not,

nor speak of me with tears

but laugh and talk of me

as if I were beside you....

I loved you so

'twas Heaven here with you.

Thanks Tim  I wrote that on the back of one of her pictures.

It never goes away, but it does fade.  Coco would not want you to be unhappy.
