Corgi Found in Selmer, TN!!!

Hi all! Anyone in the Selmer or surrounding areas of TN lose (or want to adopt) a Corgi?? We found one today on our land; I live in an "intentional community" called Rose Creek Village and all my friends and neighbors were asking me if Heidi had gotten out today b/c they thought she was loose. It wasn't Heidi, it was a boy look-alike! Very sweet red and white little male. I'd love to keep him but I already have Heidi and we're so far only supposed to have 1 dog per family here. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Awww, I hope you are able to locate his family. Its ashame he didnt have dog tags on.

Did you take him to a vet and see if he's chipped?

No - but that's a great idea. I always forget about microchips.

We have a feeling he hasn't had much experience as a pet though. He doesn't know how to walk on a leash and we've never seen him wag his tail as of yet. He'll come to someone but only with major coaxing and he has no joy about him. His eyes are so sad. VERY un-Corgi-like.

Great news! After unsuccessful attempts to find an owner, we are keeping the Corgi! Technically he's not mine, but I'll get to be very involved with him since his new owner is a 15-yr-old girl who lives in the same house with me! :) (the living situation is complicated but that's not the point) I think she's decided to call him Romeo. He's starting to come out of his shell, thanks to food, attention, and - probably - being taught by Heidi how to be a "normal" Corgi. I'm SO happy, because as we all know, the only thing better than 1 Corgi is MORE CORGIS!!!!! :)

I still haven't had a chance to take some pics b/c I have a new (6-wk-old) baby who takes up most of my time and attention, but I did manage to walk both dogs on a leash-splitter WITH the stroller today. I was proud of myself...and the dogs! They did great! Anyway, here's a pic of Heidi just being a "normal" Corgi (quotes are necessary). :)
