I have noticed several comments regarding Corgi shedding and there is a solution besides brushing out the excess fur. When Winston joined our canine family of "four legged children with permanent fur coats" as my wife calls them, he left balls of hair all over the house. When we stroked him, fur literally flew. Winston no longer sheds to any significant degree thanks to a dietary supplement called LinatoneShed Relief. Winston gets a tablespoon of this tasty supplement every morning with breakfast and his shedding has all but ceased. We also give it to our Blue Heeler and she has also all but stopped shedding. We got our Shed Relief at PETCO, but it is probably available at any pet store. It is meat flavored, so dogs look at it as an added treat when it is poured over their regular food.

CHris,

We have no cats at the moment, but did at one time. Suspect they wouldn't get along with our dogs. Besides Winston our Corgi, we have an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) and a Black Lab mix. Our mutts are all rescues. Winstion, the Corgi was brought in to the little police department where I'm a part time officer. We are so smalll that we don't have sepatate animal conrtol, so when there's a stray, we put them in a kennel behind the PD. We keep them 48 hours and if there's nobody to claim them, they go to the pouind. I waited the 48 hours and then went and got Winston. I didn't know what he was until the vet told me when I took him in for a checkup and shots. (He had no collor or tags when he wsa brought in to the PD.) He is a GREAT dog and is in my lap as I type this. Our Blue Heeler was also a rescue from a family in Conneciitut where the wife developed an allergy to her. They paid nearly $400 to fly her to Alabama and she sleeps in bed with us. What can I say? We love our four legged children with permanent fur coats! Lady, the black Lab Mix is a "Pound Puppy." She is the most remarkable dog ever. When we wrnt to the pound, we saw a litter of several black lab puppies and disn't know which one we wanted. Ww went to the manager and asked him. He said he'd show us which one we wanted. When we went back to the kennel all the puppies came running over. He stomped his foot and 5 of the 6 ran away. One tiny puppy came over to check things out. He told us, "That's the one you want." Good advice!
