Corgi's mouth getting pinker, losing fur maybe?

I've been watching it for awhile wondering what it is because it seems like around his mouth its getting pinker? We asked my fiance's dad and he said he probably has been rubbing it against something and it's normal but I'm wondering what it could be - We keep an eye on it but it's only really noticeable if we're really close - He had a clean bill of health when we took him to the vet when we first got him and his yearly checkup isn't until november. I got a picture of it with my cellphone, am I just seeing things or what? The camera doesn't pick it up that great but you can see the pink undercast under the white fur, he always had the spot of pink on his nose since day one, so should we be concerned, or?

Very normal, however, thats one of the area more prone to sunburn, so make sure you have sunscreen under the hot sun.

I didn't know dogs could get sunburn, Thanks for the link and advice! I just wanted to make sure it's normal. Is it dangerous to use the baby sunscreen if he licks it though?

Yes they can, especially the pink area like the "undercarriage" :) Make sure you get the right type of baby sunscreen, read the label, there are specific ones that are odorless and safe if accidentally "consumed". Don't apply it to the nose, only the pink areas :)

not sure but if you're putting it on a baby you can't watch it 100% of the time so it doesn't stick its hand in its mouth.. its foot in its mouth.. its arm in its mouth lol. So I'm guessing if its ok for babies it might be ok for puppies?

This makes me feel better that Noodles isn't the only corgi like this. When he was a puppy, you couldn't see any pink or black, but now that he is almost 5 (he turns 5 on Saturday), it is like he has black and pink freckles. I've never had any problem of that area being sun burned, but I'll definitely keep an eye on that area. I just tell him it makes him even more special since he has freckles like his mom.
