Leo gets so much gunk in his ears. I clean them ever few days because it grosses me out. I assume because his ears are so open and big they collect all dirt. Whats the best and easiest way to clean them.
Dirty ears aren't always a sign of mites. Does he rub his face, scratch his mouth or ears quite a bit? If so, its sign of ear mites..you can also scrape some of the gunk out and smear on paper and you'll see small movement if ear mites. He could have a fungus/bacteria infection. Does his ears smell? I have the ear pads but that is only superficial...if his ears are constantly getting dirty he may have wax build up and may need a cleaner you drip in and rub the base of ear. Peroxide works just as well. There is also liquids to use to keep the ears free of fungal infections and to dry the ear out if they get alot of baths or go in ponds and rivers to keep the canal dry.
