I bought a Fresh & Clear Drinking Fountain yesterday.  Sally need to drink lots of water and I thought maybe this would help.  Neither dog will even look at it.  I haven’t wanted to take her normal water away so I just put it where they walk by it often.  Even Bucher won’t try it!  I put it in place of his water and he just looks at me like….what, do you think I’m a cat??  The fountain does have a cat on it and I know that cats would love it, but the box also shows a dog drinking from it.  Does anyone have a fountain that your dogs like??  Does it need to have a big flow of water for them to drink from?  Any ideas??

We have a Petmate Le Bistro Waterers, not the nicest looking, its microban, the water opening is at the right level and not too big, it doesn't over flow like the Petmate Ultra

. The Le Bistro's height is low, I think it is more comfortable to drink out of for a corgi.
Sam, does it have a filter? The fountain that I bought has a replaceable filter. The dishes that I use now are stainless and we give them fresh water at least 3 or 4 times a day. They alway take a drink after we put fresh in. When we take Bucher to friends who have Labs, he will sit and barked at their water dish. Once I get him fresh water he will drink, he doesn't like the lab slim! :) (.....I know they're just a little spoiled!!!) Anyway, that is why I was looking for one that had a filter so the water stays clean. Does the microban keep it from getting slimy?
Hi Lynne, no, the Le Bistro does not have a filter built in, we already have a reverse osmosis system at home. If filtration is a concern, use a cheap facuet solution. Yes, microban is great, you can click on the link to read more about it.
Ella uses This and she loves it.
We changed to one of those a while ago but our three had no problem adjusting to it.
Thanks, I almost got that one but since Sally is kind of afraid of noises; I picked the one that I thought would be quieter. We have a fountain at work, that the cats love, and only use the filtered water and it gets slimy fast. It doesn’t have a filter, just one of those to make the calming noises. I guess I’ll just take this one in for the cats since the dogs still won’t use it!!
Ella is also afraid of noises. The ramp style makes the waterfall silent so it works out really well.
