Ear falling down...what's going on?

Elvis is a year old, and this week one of his ears has gotten floppier, sometimes falling almost completely down. Is this unusual? Is there anything I should about it? TIA for your ideas!

I've heard you can tape them up for awhile until the ear stands straight up on its own (like they do for dobermans).
I personally would leave it (but thats just me) I think one ear up one ear down would be cuter.
