Eye Colour

LO still has very dark eyes, I thought that they should have that golden colour by now.

Actually dark eyes are preferable. Golden eyes are not a desireable color in the corgi breed.

oohh, really. hmmm interesting. Are they all born really dark and then change or are they born golden?

Be thankful for those dark eyes..they are preferred and the best. I love the dark eyes..really adds to their expression.

Freya had blue eyes when she was smaller. A darker blue, and I believe, all dogs are born with that color and they change. Keep in mind I got her at a very young age (6.5 weeks old) so I was able to see the blue. At the moment they are a topaz color. But most corgis have brown eyes--well the Pems seem to anyway.
