eyelid/eyeliner turning pink

Hi I was wondering if anyone else had this happend to your corgis?

My Rufus's right eye was having lots of eye boogers for a couple weeks, and it started turning pink so I took him to the vet and they said it was a minor inflammation. They gave me a pretty strong antibiotic drop to put in his eyes, and it's been a week and all around his eyeliner area has started turning pink.

I'm taking him back to the vet this week since the eyedrops seem to be making it worse.

Will the black around his eye come back? = (

Hi Krystina, would you mind posting a picture of both eyes side by side? Make sure the pictures are in focus, that will allow us to see what you're referring to.

I didn't manage to take a picture, But I took him to the Vet again a couple days ago, and they said he probably was allergic to the antibiotics he was on. They did the eye stain test and it came up negative for any ulcers or cuts! Since then his eye hasn't gotten worse, so it's probably getting better = ) I sure hope so, thanks.

I'm thinking the pink is the conjunctiva tissue protruding from the inside of the eye. The inflammation sometimes will cause that. If that's the case, then yes, the black should come back when the tissue swelling goes down and back into the eyelid.
