I've noticed recently that Jude has a little bit less hair on her nose right were the hairless part of the nose meets the fur. She just had her boosters where they spray up the nose, but i noticed the pinkish color before that. I was thinking she may be rubbing the hair off on her crate door but she also just got a new crate with smaller holes in the door. The vet didn't seemed too concerned, but i wouldn't mind some other opinions about this.

Dax's fur is really thin around his nose and mouth. The white fur on top of his nose is thin, but it's still there. The fur on his chin (I guess that's what you'd call it) right at the front of his mouth on the bottom is so thin it's almost all pink. I asked the vet about it when he was a puppy because it seemed like it was getting worse as he got older. I was feeding him out of a plastic bowl so I thought maybe it was causing some reaction, so I switched him to a stainless steel bowl.

Bottom line...he's a year and a half old now and still has his little pink nose/chin just like he did when he was a puppy, and the vet says it's perfectly normal and not to worry about it unless the skin looks irritated/infected or anything.
Some pictures of Dax's nose/mouth. Hope this helps. Taken with a cell phone, so, sorry if they're crappy. =/

thanks for taking those, it looks really similar! i think shes just been scratching at her face a lot.
Hmm, Stanley seems to have a little less fur around his mouth now and it's kinda pink. I've just noticed this in the last month or so. I think it's normal?? It's not swollen or anything and he doesn't seem bothered by it.

If the vet isn't concerned and the skin seems okay, I'd assume Jude is fine.
