Hi all,
I have an almost 6 month old corgi. We are almost potty trained completely, but still have some kinks to work out. (Mostly because hubs and I have a different approach - that's another forum discussion).
Anyway - we live in an area where the the first available grass is 1 block down the street. We thought to build a low 4x6 box of sod just on our patio so he could go there if there wasn't time to get down the block. It worked fine until the sod died. Now it's just plain dead grass, but still gets the job done most of the time. But - he will still get this wild look and start biting the dead grass and not eating it but throwing it around.
He also does this on the grass at the end of the block. I know he has fun, and I see the other posts here where everyone acknowledges that it may just be quirky corgi behavior.. but I know how much trouble our gardeners go through trying to keep the grass nice. I don't want our little one tearing up the lawn.
How do I correct this? I give his little leash a tug and say now and try to keep moving, but on our little plot of grass on our patio, there's nowhere to move to.
Sorry - a long post for a simple question I suppose. How do I properly correct his behavior of biting grass yet still encourage him to poop/pee?
By the way - he also does this on that "fake grass"... (sigh)...
Thank you!!!
I attached Rocket's first camping trip at the beach...
