I dropped Milo off at the vet. Initially, it was just cause he pulled at his stitches and impromptu drop off for Heartworm treatment. If all goes well, I can pick him up on Thursday. But...is there anything that I can do to prepare before he comes home?

I know he must be on limited activity and he has been anyway due to his recent neutering. But can I give him a bath? Do you think that may be too stressful for him? It's been driving me nuts not giving him a bath cause he still has the shelter smell. I used a bath wipe which helped some. At the same rate, I don't want to jeopardize his health anymore.

Aside from the limited activity, is there anything else that I need to avoid or do for him? Will he be nauseous? Is there anything else that maybe expected? When should I start asking for heartworm preventative?

He's the best dog. I got very lucky to be able to foster him as he's been easy going and loving. I want to do right by him, so if anyone has any tips that would be great. Until then, I shall wait anxiously til I can pick him up.
