My Corgi, Dora, takes, toys, bones, balls, etc. and sticks them under the sofa, chair, china cabinet, etc. Then lays on her side and barks and scratches until someone retrieves them for her. Last night I was throwing the ball for her. She would run and get it, then bring it back and drop it. After about 10 times, she ran back and shoved it under the sofa next to me. Do all Corgi's do this or is mine just flying her freak flag? If all Corgi's do it, does anyone know why?

Hmm, Freya pushes out her blanket and straighten it out. In the process, she hides her random left over kibble and her chew toys. The only thing she leaves out is her teddybear and her toy bone. I mean the girl makes her bed. I just kind of put it in there to make it softer...but she doesn't like how I do it.
OMG Basso does that too! It's such a pain in the rear! But yes he does it constantly!!!! Don't feel alone! LOL!
One of our family's border collies used to do this - ALL. THE. TIME. It's just for attention - they know somebody's going to pay attention to them and get the ball. Little pills. :P
Charlie refuses to bring back any toy or ball ever. He would rather play keep away. He runs up to it and guards it from our sheltie, Rowdy. Rowdy is the one that does the barking and scratching thing. Did I mention that shelties can be extra, extra, extra talkative!
Atlas does this with his kong and the couch. He shoves it under there, and then paws, scratches and bites at the sofa until we retrieve it.
Now, if he gets anywhere near the couch with his kong we spray him with the water bottle.
Colby likes to hide his dog biscuits in his crate, under shoes, or in his bed. Sometimes he will just be laying on the floor, and he will get up and go to the other room, and come back with a biscuit in his mouth and he holds it in his mouth and stares at us like 'HAY LOOK AT ME, I HAVE A COOKIE!!'
Maybe she is trying to teach you fetch lol.
