My Daisy girl has slept in bed with me at night since I first got her and now that she is close to full grown she has become quite the bed hog and now I can't get a good nihgts sleep any more...any suggestions to how I can break her from sleeping with me in my bed at night...

We allow Marcus on the bed during the day, and while we're watching TV at night, but not when we are sleeping. We tried about two hours one night of telling him "down" at the appropriate time, but growing desperate, I started shaking a bag of coins when he would jump up to reinforce the down command. After two tries, he got the concept. He really hates the noise.
After about a week, we didn't even need to tell him "down" anymore. When we were done petting him for the night and wanted to go to sleep, we'd put our hands under the blankets (that's sort of our universal sign that we're done petting him for now). He'll generally get off the bed of his own accord within a few minutes of the hands going away.
We have a Kennel for him, but he doesn't seem to require as much sleep as we do, so even though we taught him not to whine to get out in the morning at 6am. Instead, he would race out of the kennel with so much energy that it was hard to get him calmed down afterwards. We've found that allowing him to be awake and playing with toys in the room while we sleep makes him a lot calmer in the mornings. Which is good, because while my BF gets up at 7am, I work late nights so I prefer to sleep til 10-11.
