I was just reading about Bridget. We didn't get Molly a new puppie or anything like that. We are packing things so we can move though. It started before this though. Molly seemed very unhappy and lethargic. It's went down hill from there. She doesn't even smile when her tummys rubbed. She seems like the world is on her shoulders ( ? ).She isn't even that excited about food. Is the packing upsetting her? How can I get my happy little girl back?

Moving can be very stressful for dogs they know something happening but unless they have done it before they dunno what.

All you can really do is give lots of love and support! Maybe leave one room for all the boxes to go so their not really out and about staring her in the face. Take some time from packing to do some extra play and lots of walks. Exercise (oh and chewies!!) help relieve stress. If its really freaking her out if you have close relatives or a friend that loves dogs, have them take care of her during the day until you're done so she's not seeing all the chaos.

When you move in take time to let her know that this is a good place. Play with her a lot there for the first few days.. let her sniff.. let her get used to it... it may take a few weeks for her corginess to come back out but they adapt pretty well.
Did she only start to act like that when you began packing? If not, then it could indicate a health problem that should be checked out. We are packing to move as well and Finnigan is a little apprehensive but he's perfectly willing to play, eat, run and snuggle.
Once they figure out you're not leaving them they do fine....I've moved multiple times with mine and they act upset during the packing part, but the rest is a great adventure for them.
