Having organized corgi meet-ups in the Seattle area for the past year and a half, I have been notified of the passing of a few of our corgi members. This always saddens me, but also makes me fondly remember the pets that I have loved and lost over my lifetime. The joy pets bring to our life sometimes can be lost in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, especially during the holidays and the dark, cold days of the winter. I have decided to organize a winters evening walk devoted to honoring those that we have lost and to cherishing the ones we now own.
I invite others to organize a similar event in their area during January. I know, by reading the posts on this site, that the owners here love their corgis and support those that are grieving the loss of a pet. So lets all take a moment or more to remember them.
I have set January 24 as the Seattle Date for a walk around Green Lake. Bring your flashlights to light up the night and bubbles to blow up to those that are watching from above.
