Looking for a puppy for my mom in the Missouri/Arkansas area for later this summer/fall.

I live in southwest Missouri, and I am wondering if anyone around here would have puppies coming this fall, or could recommend a breeder. My mom is considering a corgi as a companion, and is not too concerned about papers or a show quality dog. Of course, a nice purebred, quality puppy is welcomed.

Please let me know if there are any breeders you would recommend in this area. I know that Missouri is weak on its puppy/breeder laws.

I'm not sure how close it is to you because I drove about 4 hours to get there and wasn't familiar with the area, but my puppy came from a breeder in Wentworth, MO. I have no idea if there are any upcoming litters, but if you want the contact information, just send me an email!

This is way out of your area (but it is in the South, so I'm throwing it in). My guys came from Janet Richardson, www.tresaithcorgis.com, in Birmingham, AL. She's terrific and been in the biz of showing/breeding for a long time, so if she doesn't have pups she might be able to suggest others in the area? She used to live in NJ (and I was in NY), so I got Bertie by just driving to see her -- but then she moved to AL, so I had to fly down and bring Ethel back on the plane (she doesn't ship puppies, you have to go and get them). Also, if you look on the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America website, they list breeders by state -- you could start emailing/caling and see who sounds like a good person to work with.

This may be a little further away than you were looking for, but in Southern OK, there is a breeder named Susan Gebhart. SHe is fantastic and often either has puppies or knows a good breeder where you can find one. Here website is http://corgicamp.blogspot.com/. She is were I got my little girl from and I have been so super impressed with her.

Pat Parsons in Labadie, MO is wonderful - that's where Lexus came from. No website. But I went to the Gateway Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Greater St. Louis and her information is there along with several other breeders in MO and other areas. http://www.gaitwaycorgis.com/members_breeders.html
Also Faery Tails Corgi Rescue and Pet's Second Chance COrgi Rescue are listed on there and they both are FANTASTIC rescue groups.

I have a breeder that has champion blood lines and an absolute dream to deal with, she really breeds GREAT dogs. She is very careful about her bloodlines. You can check out her website, she can ship to you.
