Looking for good vet in Melbourne, FL

I'm in process of moving to Melbourne, FL area and will be looking for a new vet. Wondering if anyone has a recommendation? Looking forward to meeting up with new corgi friends in the Central Florida group! Thanks!

Hi Milo, Dr Mike Thompson was Mocha and Vienna's vet when we used to live in Melbourne.

Our current vet in Viera (15min N) is Dr Alison Bywater, she is my contract rescue vet (treat all sunshine corgi rescue fosters in the space coast with discount), she's also pennhip certified and an internist.

How soon will you be moving? I can give you some pointers on renting / buying property there, private message me.

Sam, with everything you're going through, you're the last person I'd expect to have answered. Bless your heart. Thanks so much for the recommendation. I'll check into both vets - I don't mind driving to Viera if I like the vet. I joined CFL group a month ago and REALLY looking forward to the meet ups and picnic - especially swimming event. If you can recommend any off leash beaches that would be great. I'm not sure it's allowed here in FL. My thoughts are with you and your family - let us know how things are going with Mocha. My heart goes out to you.

Hi Milo, I personally prefer Dr Thompson, I used to drive down to Melbourne just to see him. We started bringing our corgis and fosters to Dr Bywater because she is a specialist and we live near the stadium, if anything does happens, we can just cross the bridge and arrive at the hospital in less than 5 mins.

As far as dog beach goes, try the Canova Beach Park dog beach, it is located on A1A directly across the street from the Walmart in Indialantic, If you come over the Eau Gallie Causeway stay straight on Eau Gallie Blvd and drive through the stop light on A1A...you will run into Canova Beach Park.

Ask Jenny and Robin (CFL Group) about lakes and pool area in Orlando, the best off leash dog beach is in Fort DeSoto in the west coast, but its quite a drive from the space coast tho :(.
