Hey guys,

I was wondering if you guys can come up with a conclusion about my corgi, Cola!

I've had my baby Cola for about 11 months now, and her ears are still extremely floppy and kind of small. I've noticed that she would never respond to sound in general, even her name. So I've figured that because she doesn't use her ears, her ears must be floppy. I think it is because I had her shipped through a plane from Arkansas to California when she was 8 weeks old that she is deaf. She is generally a quiet dog, with the exception of yelping when she gets bored or just wakes up, and when she gets overly excited. She doesn't respond to any sound as she sleeps, even hand claps, keys jingling, or doors slamming. My boyfriend thinks she doesn't respond to sound not b/c she is deaf, but b/c she's so used to loud noise and responding to our hand signals, but I think otherwise. She is a smart dog, she knows all our commands by looking at our hands and facial expressions. In addition to her deafness, we've tried taping her ears up and giving her extra calcium.

Anyway, I was just wondering if I can declare her as both deaf and cute, or just cute. AND if it's normal to have floppy ears for her age.

thanks guys!~
