Hi everyone!

My corgi Bella has developed jowls. It's awful...she drools and slimes me, but most of the time she just gets food caught in them.  The vet doesn't seem to know what's caused them.  I'm wondering if anyone else out there has had a problem like this.

I have a Cardi and he has a lot of extra skin but not the jowls you are referring too, however, his brother who my Mom owns does. His droopy lips always look wet and specked with food. There's nothing wrong with him, this was just something that was in his genes obviously. I don't think it's a desired trait as far as show dogs go but it doesn't make the dog any less wonderful.
Thank you. She is wonderful, unless of course she is drooling fook all over me....LOL. I'm glad to know that there are others out there and that there is really nothing wrong with her!
My Didi has much floppier lips than little Reagan. She drools a lot too sometimes. Probably not on the scale you're talking about.
About the drooling though. She had eye discharge, drooling and sneezing. I brought it up with the vet and he suggested seasonal allergies and advised medication. Maybe the drooling is related to that?
Or just big 'ol jowls.
