First of all, we would like to thank all the members who've submitted photos and purchased the
2009 calendars! We had a great success and have raised over $1000. We have donated $700 to
Sunshine Corgi Rescue and have since saved $300 for this year upcoming partial printing cost. (yes, we fronted all the printing cost last year) We hope to sell even more calendars this year and to help other rescues around the country. Now that we are a 501c3 non profit charity, we have more ways to save on shipping and printing cost! Lower production cost = more money goes towards different rescues.

I agree about John's photos. I'd buy a coffee-table book of his work. It's awesome.
same here, just fyi, the book project is in the back burner for now, due to the economy, I cannot fund 20K on a book project at this time :(
You know...that really would be something worth seeing!!
Is that a calendar for computer desktop?
I think it's a wonderful idea! There's no shipping and very little production cost. Theefore the price will be low too and more people will be able to contribute. I'll definitely get one, and one hanging too to write down stuff on it.
Sam, what do you think? How hard is it do make one of those?
Maria, I think what is meant by "desktop calender" is the kind on a plastic easel-type stand that sits on your desk. They are usually "page a day" with Saturday and Sunday sharing a page. They are kind of paper-wasters unless you use the used pages as scrap paper (I do this) for making shopping lists or taking phone messages. It is cool to see a new picture every day, and would give more of us to make our beautiful corgi a star, if only for one day :)
I can give that some thought, a 365 daily digital one may work, I'll need to give it some thought, feel free to chime in.
I like it
I love it!!! I probably could even add it to my cell phone then.
That would be soooooo cool for on my computer!!!
lol, I'm a fan of John's work as well :) I can check to see the cost of a 365 type of calendar, the only concern i have is production cost, but I'll check into it and see.
Yes the Ridgeback-a-Day Calendar I was referring to was an actual calendar for your desk- although I know digital ___-a-day calendars are popular and that is another option! Rather than ripping the pages off this one was spiral bound so they also market it as a memento/collectible. I am sure the paper quality is better than most day calendars as well because it had photos rather than just black ink on cheap white paper. Hence the production cost concern - they said they had volunteers do most of the production work. (Sam, my boyfriend is a graphic designer so if you never need any extra assitance in that area just let me know!) The website also says they sold out every year - and the purchase price is $24.95.

I am excited to have ANY corgi calendar - especially one filled with corgi's from this site. Just thought I'd share an idea on how to get more corgi's included. :)
You could check with Corgiaid for a desk top one. I got one several years ago, never used it, just got it to help support and look at the pictures.
