When I got up this morning, Frosty was not using one of his front legs.  He was fine when we went to bed.  He has not indicated that it hurts (no whining, yipping, or noise of any kind).  It has normal range of motion and nothing seems to be swollen or out of place.  I have checked his paw, and he doesn't have and cuts or thorns.  We have been awake for about 5 hours now and there has been no change.  Any ideas?

I will definitely be taking him to the vet tomorrow if he is still doing this, but I don't want to take him today when it doesn't seem to be hurting him or excessively stressing him out in any way.

UPDATE - May 28th

By the time we went to bed last night, Frosty was walking completely normal.  I gave him a baby aspirin at bedtime just to be safe.  He got up this morning bouncing off the walls like normal.  No signs of any limp at all.  He proceeded to rocket around the yard in his usual morning frap, no signs of limping afterwards.

Due to his amazing immediate recovery at the arrival of last night's fried chicken, he has now been nicknamed Mr. Fakey Bluffpants and we all think he is totally full of balonga lol!  But seriously, I think what really happened was that he sprained it while jumping off the couch sometime Sunday night, and when he realized it hurt, he stopped using the leg and just never tried putting weight on it again for the rest of the day because he thought it was still going to hurt.  Once he forgot about the leg in the neverending quest for chicken, and used it, I think he realized it didn't hurt anymore so he started walking on it.

As a funny side note, when I took him out first thing yesterday, he was being all pathetic at the stairs, so I carried him down into the grass.  He immediately turned around and ran back up the stairs, so I told him I wasn't carrying his lazy butt down anymore.  My mom however was completely taken in by his act and unbeknownst to me, carried him up and down the stairs all day yesterday lol!!!

LOL!!! Glad to hear he is better today!

Our Kadi did something very similar over the holiday weekend. She is very stoic and doesn't complain about pain, so I knew it was really hurting or she wouldn't be limping at all. I never could find a source and since it presented on Sunday, I kept her confined to her xpen and gave her some Ace (that we had for Brodie and hadn't used) to keep her quiet. By Tuesday, when the vet would have been in, she was much improved. Today she's back to herself and bouncing off the walls, literally. I'm just hoping she doesn't hurt herself again!

I remember when I joined this site reading somewhere that someone had a theory that all corgis just have to have at least one bum leg. I'm beginning to understand why!

Glad Frosty is better!

I'm so glad to know he is all good now. YahooOOO!!!!

Corgi is a supreme fast learner, that it would catch every new way of using the best of the resource --- YOU. LOL...
