Noticed some missing hair around one eye

Hello everyone

I was petting Walter (14 month old corgi) last night and noticed some hair coming off around his left eye. It looks a bit raw and bald. More towards the outer corner of his eye. He doesnt seem to be affected by this at all but I will, regardless have it checked out. Does anyone know what this could possibly be. We just recently went from a very warm summer to a mild fall. It is only on one eye...any ideas?

Hi Justine, I'm guessing is the result from face diving (itching), may be its the ragweed season up here, I too find myself reacting more and had to turn on the air purifier these few days. Vacuum often and wipe him with a damp cloth every time you come in, see if that improves.

Thanks Sam. I have started wiping his eye with scent free baby wipes (the same thing we were told to use for our cat missing an eye) but since Friday I have noticed it got a little bit (not much but a little) bit bigger. Anyone else ever heard of this? I will make a vet appt tomorrow and hopefully its just a seasonal thing but worried a little bit. It doesn't seem to bother him and I never see him scratch it.
