I'm not sure if this has been posted before but here i go.

Nikon just got neutered last Friday at 7 months. When we got him home he was drugged out but still fine in peeing and pooping on his pee pad. The next day he had an accident on his pillow that he likes to sleep/rest on. Then later in the day i noticed that he had miss his pee pad, which he normally always hits correctly. he missed it by just a few inches and got the pee on the floor. I tried moving him onto the pad when i see him pee but he still seems to miss the pad. I don't know what i am doing wrong. when i first trained him, he got it within 1-2 days with just minor misses. But he has been getting worse. Yesturday he missed every time he peed but got it dead on when he pooped. I even went to the extent of laying 3 pads around that house so that he will at least hit one of them, but he still continues to miss them.

He would smell the pad at its corners and then pee each time. Does anyone know how to correct this for now? until i can get the e-collar off and have him peeing outside.

Thanks!

The e-collar may be throwing his "aim" off a little. I didn't have that problem with Duncan, but then again, he managed to destroy his e-collar within two days. Luckily, he never bothered his stitches any. Hopefully, he'll do better when the e-collar comes of him.
