Precautions to letting Dog meet a puppy? How do I avoid parvo?

Hello Everyone,

Recently my Corgis Apollo and Foxy had a litter and my friends picked the puppies up. They are turning 9 weeks and are adjusting to their new homes. I wanted to visit the puppies and see how they are adjusting this weekend.

I took every precaution to avoid parvo. Sadly, my dogs weren't walked for the whole pregnancy and weaning, etc because i didn't want to risk tracking parvo back to them. Apollo also gained quite a bit of weight... But we are on a training regime and I have been walking them everyday for about 45 minutes.

QUESTION: Now that my dogs have been walking out in the open, what can I do to clean them up when we go visit the puppies? Just give them a bath? I gave them a bath 2 weeks ago and don't really want to wash out the oils in their skin since it makes them dry. Am I better off just not bringing them?

I hate parvo, really wish we didn't have to deal with it.

It's better to leave them home.

Yeah, that has to be the safest bet.
