We have a visit with Heron's Way Corgis scheduled for Feb. 4th, to officially meet Anne Bowes. So far all of our communication has been awesome, and everything I can find about her and her corgis is encouraging.
I've noticed a few people here have gotten their pups from her, so any additional info or insight you could share would be definitely appreciated.
Of course, we still have plenty of time to prepare for our pup, but soooooooooooooooooooo excited!!! I will do my best not to just squeal and twitch come the 4th.

Congratulations! Anne Bowes is not only one of the most conscientious breeders, but a lovely person as well. Nearly five years ago, I was blessed to purchase one of her fluffies out of Heronsway Land of the Free. You will learn much from Anne, her corgis represent many years of dedication to the breed, excellent and unflinching judgment and her extraordinary standards of excellence. She was a joy to do business with and my Linus is a beautiful and loving dog. Listen to her carefully and follow Anne's lead! Looking forward to learning of this wonderful adventure. All the best from Williamsburg, VA: Nancy, Bear, Tasha and Linus (Heronsway Land of the Hokies)
Thanks for the response!! I've read a bunch of stuff about Anne and her corgis but nothing too recent. Do you usually get fluffies or was it your first?
I'm not opposed to them, we have a long haired cat so the shedding is kind of something we're used to at this point.
For some reason, fluffies do not shed as voluminously as standard coats. I had two corgis when I was in the process of getting Linus. It was important for Anne, and me, that the chosen dog was assertive enough to enter into a multi-dog household. She really puts a lot of thought and consideration in placement. She studies the personalities of her pups throughout the placement process. The reason I opted for a family quality corgi or a fluffy, frankly, was that I am thrilled with Hersonway pet quality. Anne rightfully reserves the show quality for those that are active in the show ring. I am so happy for you! Nan
we met anne and her corgis today, and it was AWESOME!
I am so glad that you visited Heronsway! Tell me more! Isn't Anne a fabulous individual - and I loved sitting in the yard surrounded by some of the most beautiful corgis in the world. Both times there were puppies in her specific puppy "yard" and you nearly had to drag me away from that area as well. Will you be on line for one of her corgis????? It is a once in a lifetime event! All the best, Nancy, Bear, Tasha and Heronsway Land of the Hokies!!!
