Hey everyone, I had a question about setting up a playpen for the new corgi. About how much space would you suggest is a good size for an 8 week old Corgi puppy? I want to have something that is easy for the puppy to access but not have enough space to where he can start distroying things. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Not a whole lot actually, if the space is too large, he'll be able to find a space to "go", that will set back your potty training, it is recommended that you watch him like a hawk and when you can't put him right back to the crate. One of the signs for getting ready to go is "sniffing" around the floor, walking in circles and "frost" in space, do not wait, quickly take him out immediately. It is okay to have a play pen, a regular size will do, but keep an eye out as well. By 9 mo - 1 yr, your corgi will be physically developed to hold for a good period of time without accident. Only "then" you can trust your new addition :) Good luck!
Thanks very much for the advise! Now it is just the designation in the house to where we are going to have that pen setup.
The best place will probably where the tile / linoleum floor is, always keep 6 bottles of hydrogen peroxide handy, it'll take away the stain and smell :)
Some kennels come with dividers so you can sort of adjust the size as the grow, rather than having to buy a bigger kennel. That way you can start off with a smaller space with s/he is a puppy, but then have a larger kennel when they're fully grown. I always put old towels in there with puppy so they'd have something soft to sleep on and if they went potty in the kennel, you can just toss in the wash and wipe the kennel down with some wet wipes. I also covered her kennel with a big blanket at night to make it more cozy (like a den) and to keep out drafts and that seemed to help her sleep through the night better.
