So how much does your corgi push for you to follow his or her agenda? Lately it seems as if though Ein is constantly finding new ways to get me to do what he wants and is starting not to listen to simple commands he already knows. Is it me or is this true with most corgis?

Jennifer, he may be a little less confident of his ownership of his grandma and has to be forceful because of the presence of her dogs.  He laying down on the street is because he does not fully have you under control. He is doing it away from home like a child so he will embarrass you.  Randy would catch me on the phone when he knew I was talking to a parson.  If he heard a voice that he liked, he would then crawl all over me.  He has one special friend of mine and he is probably even more jealous when hearing her voice.  In the past, I have always (except the 1st time) had an older dog to train my pups and this time it was just me and him and I haven't done very well.
They know what buttons to push.  The little look they give you just melts your heart and their way seems like a good idea,  I just love to sit out of the way and watch them in action. Their new thing is to go to the fence and bark at the deer.  The deer pay them on mind and it really makes the corgi's mad.  Mine now hold hostage my side of the bed unless I give them some cheese at bedtime.
What a hard face to resist. My favorite corgi move is when you hear this random "burffing" and look down and notice them looking right at you, waiting for you to pay attention to them. Now that they have your attention, they can more properly let you know what they want.
