Thank you everyone for your help with my posts while I was considering a Corgi pup. Everyone was so nice and this site is a wealth of information. We did decide a corgi is probably not what we are looking for. The herding trait makes us a bit nervous.

Again, I appreciate your time and help. You may have just helped ensure one of your breeds did not end up in the hands of someone it didn't belong with.

You're welcome Tracy, good luck in your search! Thank you for stopping by :)
Hi Tracy... I just would like to congratulate you on doing your research. So many dogs end up in shelters because no research is done and owners find out that the dog personality doesn't match their lifestyle AFTER they get the dog. I hope you find the perfect breed for you. I have had a myriad of breeds so if you need some help, please let me know.
If only more potential puppy owners did research, there would be fewer dogs being destroyed because they dont "fit" into the needs of the owners.
I completely agree with what you are saying... I DO!
BUT... not all breeds have a site/forum like you all do.. and they should!

We did get a new pup. A Boston Terrier. Originally, I shyed away from them because of thier sensativity to heat and cold, but met some helpful people (again at a forum like this one) that gave us helpful advice on how to properly care for these issues.

Here's a pic of our girl. Dont let the picture fool ya. She's not the least bit of a worrier. She was the leader of her litter. Mother is super duper calm and sweet, but dad is a frisky little butt! Hopefully she will continue to take his intelligence and "go get 'em" attitude. She is not the least little bit hesitant or shy. She is very curious. She will quickly pounce on a ball and figure out a way to get it back to you. (The ball is too big for her to pick up in her mouth)

I do believe we have found the perfect match for us!!!!

She is adorable :) Congrats!
Good for you, doing the research!! Corgi's certainly aren't for everyone!!
What an adorable little girl!! Boston Terriers were our second pick for a dog when we were doing the research! What wonderful little animals!
Enjoy!!
Figure if the breed is from Boston, they must be able to handle all sorts of weather and you get to dress her up all pretty for the winter walks...
