Hi everyone,
Over the holidays, we will be traveling through Canada to get from Michigan to Massachusetts. This will save several hours of travel time, if we go this way instead of staying in the US.
What paperwork (etc) will we need to take Ella through both Canadian and US customs???
Husband, son, and I all have passports so we are good; but we've never traveled anywhere with Ella.

The health cert documents everything including shots record, ht / wt , age ...etc, since it's got the state seal, it is an official document, I'm not sure if a printed record from the vet will qualify. I would call the borders to clarified.
Since you are crossing the border twice in a row, you might want to have 2 sets of health certificates. When I brought my corgi from Japan to US, we didn't have to give up our certificate, but you never know. Just ask your vet for the certificate, and they shouldn't have any issues giving them to you. Going to Japan was a big hassle since Japan is a rabie-free country, but since US and Canada share border on land, and they really can't prevent any wild animals from crossing the border (with rabie or not), they are not really strict on animals crossing (no quarantines etc.) Just have your certificates ready, and have your Corgi smile, and you should be fine! :)
Yes, who could resist a smiling corgi.....no problem.......................
