Has anyone gotten two puppies at once? We found some pups nearby and my husband said, "should we get one or two?" So granted we have never potty trained before. He had an older dog and I had farm dogs so they were just able to go out whenever they wanted. I would guess that would be the hardest part of two at once. Though I'm sure I'm totally naive :) We thought it might be nice to get two so they have a friend, besides our cats. We are able to spend alot of time with them because, well, we have no lives. Just work, which is pretty 9 to 5 and my husband comes home for lunch. Any thoughts on tackling this or should we stick with just one for now?

Aww it's not lame at all!! Yogi and Abby have exactly...when i say exactly, i mean exactly! the same markings. They both have a white spot on the back of their necks. They both have exactly the same amount of white socks on their front paws, and both of their left paws have more white than brown. We were amazed! They came from different breders too!!
This is funny because my oldest corgi who is 17 months old, gets this guilty expression on her face whenever she has done ANYTHING she knows she wasn't supposed to, it cracks me up because you know right away who did it.
I have 2 and they are great..but one was a bit older. It is a challenge even then and if you have little experience with Corgis you might want to start with one at a time.
I waited until my first Corgi was 2 1/2 before I got my second puppy, but it all depends on what you can handle. It is not twice the energy, they rebound off of eachother so it is more like 10X. I know with my Morgan he has been driving me nuts with potty training, so that will be a bigger head ache. I guess you just have to use common sense when deciding. Can you deal with that much more in medical bills. Getting their shots at first can be expensive. I figure I should prepare for about $1,000 medical for my puppy the first year, but that includes all shots, heart worm preventative, and emergency issues. IF you can handle it, then you have a lot more energy than I do. lol.
That's one of the reasons we picked out Lilly, we wanted a matching set... bookends! Brody was 2 when we got Lilly, she certainly learned a lot of basic obedience from watching him, so it was much easier to train her.
