I've noticed over the past couple days that Dax's right eye is watering a lot more than usual. There's no color to it so I'm pretty sure it's not infected, I'll just notice that the fur under his eye is really wet. I was thinking it could be allergies but would allergies just start all of a sudden like that? And in only one eye? I saw him paw at it one or two times but it doesn't really seem to be bothering him, and it doesn't water constantly, just every now and then I'll look at him and his eye will be wet. Any thoughts?

Hello,

I have also noticed that my Butterball goes through times when his eyes are watery. I asked the vet he said just keep an eye on it, could just be allergies. It is just clear fluid and doesn't seem to bother hime, so I am just going to keep watching. Maybe some one else will have a similar issue and a different answer!!
Some times it comes w/seasons..specially when they are shedding alot and the little hairs around their face get in their eyes or dust particles. Won't hurt to rinse the eye out w/saline solution and take a damp cloth to their head to wipe them down. Fall and spring are the 2 seasons I notice this in one or 2 of my dogs and they are usually the ones rolling around on the ground or the ones who like to drop and roll during wrestling matches. LOL
