aww! lol thats cute:) thank you for sharing that!
They are the perfect breed for us.  We wanted an energetic dog that will fit in our 3br/2b house.  I also love the way they look, that was a definite plus once we established that this breed was right for us.  It was much easier to be patient with something so adorable during the puppy training period.
i 100% agree with you on that! lol how can u still be mad at such a cute pace, with those big paws and ears:)
My mother has always raised show dogs.  First St. Bernards and now English Pointers.  She really...REALLY wanted to give my young daughter a dog but we simply were not interested in the Pointers.  I'm sure it hurt her feelings a bit.  She one day said "I know people with corgis, how about one of those?"  After some research, we agreed and became excited.  (Well, not my husband, we had two dogs already.)  Twinkie has been the best gift ever.  My daughter and I joke about who is really her Mama, me or her.  I will admit that pure bred dogs have always left me cold after a youth of traveling to dog shows and caring for the St. Bernards.  I am so thankful I have finally found the breed that touches my heart.  Now, how to get the husband to agree to another?
i know the feeling:) i want another corgi so very bad but we are waiting until fall of this year to see if we are financially ready for another pup. i am so happy twinkie came into your lives :)

I had never thought of a corgi.  I like dogs, but liked the convenience of not having one (we'd hads several Labs when the kids were growing up.).  Then my son got Ringo, and asked me to puppy-sit one weekend.  That was it!  I fell in love with him, contacted the breeder, and a week later we had Torri, aged 9 weeks.

Its two years now, and I am still amazed that we acquired such a wonderful little girl.  Friend to all people and dogs, truly a big dog in a little body.

seems like corgis just pull at our heart strings lol she is a very pretty girl!
I first became interested in corgis when I saw the show Cowboy Bebop. I thought the dog Ein was adorable and good natured. I did not, however, believe that any dog could have that disposition in real life, so I just marked them off as adorable dogs.

My family has had a long history of dogs. During my time of living with them, they have owned a St. Bernard mix like dog, two lab mixes, a collie mix, a pure bred miniature poodle, a bichon, and finally a dachshund corgi mix. (They typically own two dogs at a time and adopt older dogs from the humane society. The bichon was the dog after the dachshund/corgi mix.) When we got the dachshund/corgi mix, Trudi, we knew she was a dachshund, but didn't know the other half. All we knew is that she was super friendly and when we got home, she hopped out before we could snap the leash on and sauntered to our front door. Of all the dogs I have ever owned, she was the most intelligent, stubborn, and amusing of all. She would frap with the cat and tended to herd the other dogs. I was curious and researched different breeds on the internet and one day I stumbled on a picture of a Dorgi (which is her mix and what the Queen of England has been known to breed.) It looked just like her and acted just like her. I realized the most endearing traits she had were corgi traits and have been hooked ever since.

I do not own a corgi and have been waiting 7 years to get one. All I can say is soon, hopefully soon and make corgi items in the mean time. I also been collecting everything I need for the corgi over time. Now all I need is the dog. *crosses fingers*
Fingers and paws crossed for you here!
