Milo looks to me either a corgi/dachshund mix or a corgi/chihuahua mix. He's 31 pounds if that helps any. He's also terribly shy with the camera and that's the best I could do.

What could make his inner ear so black? I mean what breed?

Many sable corgis have dark inner ears. I would say whatever mix he is, he's more than half corgi. Possibly 3/4 or some high ratio of corgi. Hence the difficulty in identifying what he's crossed with. To be honest, I'm not sure you'll ever know for sure. There are DNA kits out there that claim to help, but I've seen shoddy - and sometimes plain ridiculous - results from those. I wouldn't waste the money, to be frank. You can always narrow it down, as you have already. The other breed(s) would be shorthair and probably not large - from toy to medium, I would say.

He's cute. Good luck!
Thanks. It's kind of spooky cause he looks very much like my little one Freya in this picture. They both have that odd behavior of not chewing a chew unless I hold it.
