hi everyone. my corgi, kirby started wheezing and coughing/hacking last night. he is acting his normal salf, eating, running, frapping ect for the most part, (he has also started marking in the house more). but his symptoms are getting worse. the only place he is in contact with other dogs (except at home) is at the dog park 3 days ago.  my friend also bought a dog yesterday that has simmiler symptomes. (but kirby has not met my friends new dog yet). he is up-to-date an all vacinations, but has not been dewormed yet (our older female lab mix has never needed to be wormed so my mom said kirby didnt have to be) we got him from a nice family and he is cleared fo hips, eyes ect. he has been flawlessly healthy until now. ok what i need to know is if this is somthing trhat needs to be checked by the vet. money is tight ani cannot affored medical treatment that i need for myself.so i dont want ot take a trip to the vet if its not needed. dont get me wrong i will if i need to but vets are pricey!!! any advice will be appreciated god bless

As far as housebreaking goes, check the FAQ.

Could you describe the wheezing, coughing, hacking in detail? Like when, frequency...etc. It'll be great if there's a short video if you can.
With the sudden onset of symptoms it could be a bacterial infection such as bronchitis. If these symptoms persist, I would definitely go to the vet because he will need antibiotics to get better.
Was he given the Bordetella vaccine? Not all vets make this a "must have" shot which is why I ask. If so, when was it given?

Is the cough more noticeable at a certain time of day?
thanks for the replys, i want to the vet, and it is just a viral cold, he should be better in a few more days
