Dee Dee just turned 9 years old yesterday. Happy for 9 years we have had so far, but sad to see sings of aging. :( Now that she is getting older, I am wondering what to feed her. She has been on Iams Weight Control for years, but I am thinking maybe to switch to something for senior dogs.

Does anyone have any idea on when to switch the dog to senior food, and what dog food (in the US)?

Yes, Dee Dee would be considered "senior" at the age of 9, how ever, making the choice to senior food is really depends on Dee Dee and your preference, some senior food are really no different from regular adult ones, read the label carefully. A lot of times, senior dogs are less active, if they consume the same amount, they'll be more likely to put on weight. As far as food brands, the key is to read the labels, do your own research and don't be brand loyal, pay attention to recalls.
