I just switched Jasper to Blue Buffalo Puppy Mix. It was an easy switch from Wellness Super 5 Mix. He'll eat anything, so there's never a question of whether he'll like it - just the aftereffects. The ingredients in Blue Buffalo are really good and he hasn't had any problems at all!

Teagen is on Nature's Recipe puppy formula plus I put a little squirt of the big boys fish oil in it and 1 baby carrot for the morning feeding I have never had any issues with it. Her coat is shiny, soft, and bright. I buy the Grizzly Fish Oil from Amazon. looking at your reccomended list there are some brands that I have heard good things about (california nat. & Natures Variety) but do to cost I don't feed them to mine. I'm convinced these companys feed off of peoples ego and the more expensive the better right ??? Natures Recipe I think is considered the next step down from those. Also like Amy &Jasper the perferred food on this site is Blue Buffalo the brand gets alot of "air time" during these disscussions maybe that'd be a good one to switch to.

I feed Teddy California Natural. His breeder had him on Purina ProPlan (which is what my cat's have always been on) but he started having itchy, itchy skin which was probably from the corn in it. California Natural is just the meat, rice or sweet potato and vitamins and minerals. Very simple and yes, a little on the pricey side but Teddy doesn't eat as much on it as he did with the ProPlan so it lasts longer. He does really well on California Natural. No more itchy skin, his coat is nice and soft, his poops are less smelly than they were on ProPlan and he loves it.

We feed our Nibbler the puppy formulation from Kirkland brand, which you can purchase at Costco. The breeder had her on Purina pro plan, but she seemed to have softer feces than she should have, and they were terribly stinky. It also had corn meal in it, which I try to steer away from when feeding doggies; my parent's lab had horrible gas when she ate dog food with corn. Nibbler has been doing great on Kirkland. Her feces are more compact and she actually seems to prefer the taste of Kirkland (when we were switching her between brands, she would grab a mouthful, spit it out on the floor, and pick up only the Kirkland pieces). I was pretty skeptical when I told my parents I was looking for a new food brand, and they recommended Kirkland, but the food actually has great ingredients, and no corn. I have also heard that Blue Buffalo is good, though a few people have complained that their dog actually got more gassy when they switched to it. Check out the meat sources in the food you have been feeding her. If you have been buying the same flavor with each dog food, like chicken, try switching to a different flavor, like lamb. If you are really up for a challenge, print off the nutritional facts from the manufacture's website for the foods that have caused problems, and highlight the common ingredients.
