For the agile Corgi--whether it's to rein in that rambunctious energy, hone in that intelligence, or just to have something to do--it's AGILITY!

Yes, I used the 2x2 method to teach my dog the weave poles and he had it down in 6 weeks. We tried all sorts of methods with our first agility dog and she still doesn't weave well. I'm sold on 2x2.
We got our own weave poles last night! Wheee, three sets of the 2x2's for a total of six poles. I just set them up in the basement and we'll hopefully get to start using them tomorrow. We were working on Susan Garrett's method with borrowed poles and I was amazed how far Jack came in just ten days or so, so now we can get back to work.
We were doing some bounce jump grids too, and a few other exercises to get our lazy dogs to not knock rails. I was watching carefully and Jack's problem is he drops his hind end too soon, so I'll definitely be doing some work getting him to curl over the jump instead of blasting through. The bounces helped, but what seemed to help even more was jumping him back and forth from a standstill so he had to really gather over the jump instead of run at it. I think I need to invest in some cheap practice jumps, too.
Yes that exercise does sound good. I'm going to get myself four jumps for home and set stuff up. I'm also clicker-training Jack to do the turn on the forehand thing.
Anyone know where I can get a cheap wooden ladder?
