For the agile Corgi--whether it's to rein in that rambunctious energy, hone in that intelligence, or just to have something to do--it's AGILITY!

Hi Joanna, I wish I could help you with the tracking and obedience. What kind of advice are you looking for with agility?

My breeder has done quite a bit of tracking with her corgis and she says they are a natural at it. Her 10 year-old took to it as fast as her 10 month-old. I'm just trying to find someone in Anchorage to try it out as Gemma tracks things anyway. We didn't really have much fun with our try in the conformation show ring and are looking forward to tracking, agility, and obedience. Any advice from the experienced? Gemma is 11 months old now and we have done basic puppy obedience.

Thanks for the advice, it is very hard to find somebody who works with Corgies in Germany. Even my Vet said, oh this is the first Corgi I see in my life. In Germany Corgies are very speciall. People asked me, if Jerry is a fox....
So I believe, to teach Jerry Agility is hard work, because he has definitiv his own head... - just like... a breed apart !!

Welcome! Best of luck with beginning your journey into agility with Jerry, I'm sure you'll both love it! My best advice is to try to find someone that works with Corgis as well, and then talk with them. I've done that because some people don't understand Corgis--they're a breed apart!

Hi everyone,
when Jerry turn two years this winter we will start Agility in spring. For now he is a great Frisbee Player, he catchs the Frisbee in the air. And he loves it, he can never get enough. So I think we will enjoy Agility very much, too, and we are looking forward to start ... :o))

I"ve never tried tracking, nor seen it. But I say, why not try it!! Find a good trainer and just see how Wylie does!

I can't wait to start training with Wylie for Agility. This is such a fun sport for both the dogs and owners. I was wondering if anyone here has tried the sport of Tracking? Wylie is a natural for it, but I am unaware of other Corgis who track.

Trust me, there will be many differences between Corgis and Border Collies!! And if you ever watch a super fast and super hyper BC on the course just blow everything, you'll be even more happy to have your consistant, solid Corgi companion running beside you. :-)
