Hi Princess Yuki's mom! It sounds like you're off to a good start, and very interesting that there are only 100 Corgis in Singapore! I wouldn't worry too much about Yuki not tugging on her leash and being more food-oriented. Dally's very food-motivated, but also loves tennis balls, so I mix the two rewards. Just see if she has other toy preferences--maybe a squeakie toy? Don't worry if she doesn't like to tug on the leash!

Hi everyone!

Im from Singapore, a small country in Southeast Asia and we have abt 1000 corgis (I est) here in the country. Unfortunately, dogsports is smething new here and there're less than 50 dogs that's active in agility (I oni know of 1 other corgi who trials).

My corgi Yuki is 1yr old and we've been doing abit of training, started learning weavepoles recently but we hafnt learn hit the seesaw. She lurves to run and go to class but she doesnt like to play tug with leash and is mre food-motivated. Are there any great tips to switch her to like tugging on leash? She likes to play tug on her little cute fluf-toys though....

Btw, Im a fan of Kaley the corgi :)

Cheers

Just a quick update on Dally's agility career--we'll be making our Excellent A debut in Standard this weekend at Queen City in Ohio, but need two more legs in Open Jumpers. We haven't trialed since September, and haven't had much time to practice, but after two days of working this weekend, I think we're ready, as long as I don't lose the next jump (which has costed us a Q or two in Open JWW). How is everyone doing???

Hi guys!! I'm so sorry I haven't participated in the group, and yet I started it!!! GASP!! I've been so busy with things my participation on MyCorgi.com has hurt. It's great to see this group growing and everyone sharing photos and experience/tips for everyone!

Hi, I have a couple of corgis that would probably be interested in agility, but haven't the time to take them for lessons. Thanks for the comment on the equipment at Toys R Us, I know that 3 of my boys, and 1 of my girls would love it. When I take them to work, they use ours here, (I work at a Pet Resort in Fl.)

Scooter and Jelly are awesome in agility but i think the events are too far away maybe could there be some in Wisconsin? or Illinois? Well here are some pictures of Scooter In agility!

He has to wear a head collar for safety reasons for other dogs. [ He's a bit grumpy ] Other wise he's great. He just doesn't like Australian Shepherds. [ I don't know why. ]

If you have a Toy's R Us in your area, they have AKC Junior agility equipment. It ranges anywhere from $40-$60. Molly got the tunnel with the chute and loves it. I figured it would be an easier way to go than build my own equipment or fork over the big money they ask for online. They also had polls and tire jump. They might have other equipment in your area.
