What books would you like to see made into movies? Do you have someone you picture playing the lead?

The Watchmen was a good adaptation and I do like how they changed the ending to make it less confusing. SIn City was good, but only if you watched the special edition version so it may be watched in the intended way.
I enjoyed both of those, Sin City more so than Watchmen.
I would like to see Janet Evanovich's Stephenie Plum series into either movies (TV ones not necessarily big screen) or a TV series. For some reason I always picture Sandra Bullock in that part, I think it is because it is similar to her Miss Congeniality character lol. I think that Lula should be played by Sherri Shepard, Tank by Michael Clark Duncan, her boss by that creepy looking guy in Armageddon and Con Air. Ranger by Dewayne Johnston and I haven't figured out who to play Morelli yet. But I think that Annie Pots should play Connie. Can you tell I have too much time on my hands sometimes?
Wow, you have the whole movie cast! It seems like they are making more tv shows based on books so maybe you'll get your wish. :)
I would really like more of the Anne Rice books to be movies but only if they can be of the same quality as Interview With a Vampire. I liked Queen of the Damned but it could have been ten times better. It was not even in the same class as Interview. Not just that but it wasn't really the story of Queen of the Damned, it was more like a combination of it and the Vampire Lestat with quite a few alterations. maybe they could re do it and pretend the first one never happened like they did with the Hulk and thank God they did because the Ed Norton version was so much better than the Eric Bana. Anyway, I loved the Tail of the Body Thief and I think it would make a good movie. I don't know who should play Lestat though, Tom Cruise was good at the time but wouldn't work now and Stewart Townsend isn't the best actor.

As if you couldn't guess, I would LOVE to see Shadow of the Wind on the big screen. For some reason I see the character Julian Carax played by Robert Pattinson or Jude Law, the main character Daniel Sempere played by Anton Yelchin, Clara played by Natalie Portman, Penelope played by Mia Wasikowska and I haven't decided on the rest. For the character Fermin Romero I have a definite image but I'm not sure who fits it, maybe Michael Richards (Kramer on Seinfeld).
I think A Density of Souls (by Christopher Rice) would make a good movie. Casting the four main characters could be difficult.
Stephen Conlin- Kyle Gallner
Meredith Ducote- Emma Watson
Brandon Charbonnet- a buffed up Hunter Parrish
Greg Darby- Aaron Johnson

As a side note I found the Lovely Bones movie a bit disappointing...
I'd like to see Emma Watson in more movies!

I didn't see the Lovely Bones. I was going to but it didn't get very good reviews so I decided to make that one a rental.
I would love to see Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders or Harper Hall series made into movies...and I mean movies (ala "Lord of the Rings). I have no one in mind for the roles, but CGI technology is finally where it needs to be for the dragons and fire lizards. And of course, they'd have to work with the author....
We need something epic like Lord of the Rings. Maybe that will be the next.
I like a bit of Meg Cabot- not the best writing ever but its a bit like reading a romantic comedy. Her adult series, Queen of Babble has been optioned for a film and Kristen Bell has been named as the lead but that was a few years ago. I think the books are easily adapted to screen (being rom-coms at heart) and I love Kristen Bell but she was never who I imagined playing the lead.

I'd like to see The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher have another shot and be made into movies and set fire to the abomination of tv series they put out.  I'm so glad it only lasted one season, I couldn't even get through three episodes without wanting to stalk the writers and wring their necks.

Stephen King's Dark Tower is supposed to be coming out with some of it in the theater and some on tv (will be interesting to see how this is played out), I do hope it's not butchered but I think it has a writer who tends not to do that (which I think is the only reason King went along with him).
