In the last two years, I've encountered many new things in my life: most of them have been new experiences I would never have anticipated. And although I've been a Believer for years, I think the Lord is definitely teaching me to 'bend the knee' to His Will for me. So, I've started reading the Bible more and more, and have seen my faith grow more than it has in years. Through prayer, praise, and the Word - as well as huge doses of the Holy Spirit's insights - I am seeing my life with new eyes. One of the verses I find myself returning to, again and again, is Psalm 25:5 :

 

"Show me your ways, O Lord,

teach me your paths;

Guide me in your truth and teach me,

for you are God my Savior,

and my hope is in you all day long."

 

What a relief to know that I don't have to "figure it all out" myself! God is sovereign, and He knows all things - and knows where all those things are going! So, all I need to do is abide in Him, hold His hand, and stay in His Word. God is for me, and He wants to bless my life. It's not a fight to get blessings from Him. Rather, He is ready and willing to give them, it's just a matter of me giving Him priority in my life, and taking time to 'learn of Him.'

[Psa 118:24] This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

This has always been one of my favorite verses and as I grow older, it has deeper and deeper meaning. So many times it is easier to see the bad, rather than the good, but those are the times when we must stop and remember that each day is a gift from God and the choice is ours what we do with it!

I think it actually fits Corgis, too. Both of mine are always overjoyed with each new day and it is always an adventure!

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; ²³they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ^{24 “}The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” Lam 3:22-24

....I know this is more than one scripture but i stand on this passage , His love never ceases, every day my hope is in Him , He is so faithful .... i could go on and on about how much truth is in this passage... Praise His Holy Name, Jesus!!
