Believers in Jesus, Please Be Careful in Your Humor
There was a recent FB post, by a reputable On-line Christian organization, that stated God answered prayer with a "Yes," "No," and "You've got to be kidding me." While this might seem funny on its face, this is not the God whom we serve, and we are called to proclaim the truth of God - not our own humor, projected onto God the Father. He is concerned about our every need, He is sensitive to us, He waits on us, He cares for us, He eagerly longs to answer our prayers, and He expects us to cast our cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). So, the next time you, as a Believer, see something amusing on FB, and are tempted to share it with the world: think. What would a non-Believer think about this? Would this snickering, non-chalant, ambivalent characterization of God be something that would bless them? Would it confirm the lies they already believe about God? Please stop and consider what you say about our loving, forgiving, compassionate, sacrificing Father God to those around you. We are His hands and feet here on this earth, and we are to testify to the eternal truth about Him, not what we think is momentarily funny.
Bow Before His Incredible Love – or Face the Consequences
“And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” (Ephesians 3:18)
"[His] Love’s like a hurricane, I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy"
(lyrics from “How He Loves Us”, Jesus Culture)
As I pondered the strength of the recent hurricane – and reviewed the incredible damage to the East Coast, it occurred to me that there are many types of trees in this world: proud, brittle, and flexible. Some of the tallest, strongest trees can be the most vulnerable in strong winds: if the tree’s roots are not established in a ‘firm foundation’, the tree will topple and be laid low - it simply cannot withstand the onslaught. Unyielding, brittle trees don’t have the flexibility to withstand the strong winds: they lack internal integrity, inner strength, and so they fragment and fly apart against such a powerful force. It is only the flexible, fully yielding trees, that bow low to the hurricane force winds, which remain intact and unharmed. And so it is with us: only those who bow before the Living God, who honor Him, will be the ones who can withstand the full force of His love. Amen
Funny.. I was thinking the samething. Gob has blessed me with Labus and Boudreux. There is nothing better than to have 2 smiling Corgis. So I made a little move. Some of these pictures are not mine, some came from pictures I have saved from Corgi.com. I hope I have not made anyone made getting the pictures to put in this movie. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjDxxiF8WOc&feature=relmfu
It's difficult to imagine, but God loves us so much, He completely respects our bad decisions. He didn't make us like robots, He made us like Himself - with the ability to reason and choose. So, if we decide to draw near to Him, He draws near to us. At the same time, if we decide to do something completely against what He says, He allows that as well. That type of thinking has consequences - in action - like today. What an amazing Father God we have, that He gives us the right to choose Him - or not.

You Are God Alone
This is an awesome video, and it brings great comfort to me to know that God is Sovereign over all. Even on days like today; God is on His throne - and has been there since before time began. Amen.
I believe pets do go to heaven; they are not made "in God's image," and do not have the ability to reason and decide as mankind does. As a result, I don't believe God holds them to the same standard as man. The standard God provides under the law in the Old Testament, applies only to mankind. Also, the death and resurrection of Christ doesn't apply to the animal kingdom, but only to mankind. As a result, I don't believe animals stand condemned, and therefore don't need to be separated from His presence. That's just my opinion... Thanks for the question! God is so amazing; I'm so thankful for His presence in my life through the Holy Spirit and by the name of Jesus Christ.
Words well written! Thanks for sharing..
Awesome posts, Christina & Lu! When I get finished moving (23 yrs. of STUFF) I hope to get on here more.
Great Song by Phillips, Craig & Dean, "Pour My Love On You"
This is a wonderful worship/praise song about how we can "pour ourselves" out in worship and praise to the Lord. So awesome! Thank you, Lord!
