I NEED A CORGI!

My corgi Rocky passed around three months ago.

I was looking around and Corgis Have popped up in the $500- $1000 price range.

We are looking for a Puppy to a 1 year old.

If anyone knows anything my sister 9 is really sad and still is not over it.

Also if anyone knows of the breeder Teresa Batten, Thats who we got Rocky from we would really LOVE to see some of his siblings.

We found ours at the local pound. It's taken him almost a year to turn around from being completely backwards though. I'm not entirley sure what happened to him before we got him. However, I'm fairly certain he was beat by his previous owners. He was very frightened when we first got him and he has slowly come out of it. However, I would turn to Corgi Rescue.

Jasmine, I don't know where you are located but please be sure, what ever breeder you deal with, you ask about genetic testing on their breeding stock. Hips, eyes, vWD & DM. The latter two are DNA tests and are decisive tests. DM is Degenerative Myelopathy and is caused by the same gene that causes ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease) in people. If you know what ALS does to people you can understand then what it does to corgis. It's devastating to the people that love them. NO EXCUSE for not testing. DM is the cheapest DNA test out there at the moment ($65). If you would like more information on the various health issues and the testing/certifying agents, I have many helpful links on my website.
