Do we have any information on if we've been able to get some door prizes or treats from local vendors like the Bluegrass Barkery, IncrediPet, or PetsMart? I'm working with my company to get a few giveaways that would be fun.

IMPORTANT - BRING WATER WITH YOU...I've been to Wellington before and as my memory serves, the only water source is a human water fountain in the parking lot.

We have a little pool like that. We could bring it and it could double as a huge water bowl.

There's some shade (mostly on the outside of the fenced in area), but I have a pop-up I can bring if I'm able to come. 

I'd let the news organizations know earlier than just one day before, because they might already have things planned. The least they can do is put it on their community calendar. I know the Friends of the Dog Park has had a hard time trying to get news coverage of their annual Doggie Paddle in September.

I will let The Daily Corgi know, and Laurie can put something up, too.

The Bluegrass Barkery and IncrediPet would be good to post the flyers and maybe ask for some support in terms of giveaways, maybe a discount on the cookies/cake, etc. 

Other ideas for games, if we'd like: Outfield Catch, Weenie Bob, costume contest

There's tons of trees at Wellington park on the small dog side. We may want to bring some folding chairs though. I work at Petsmart. I'd there's anything we need I can probably try to get my hands on it.

That would be awesome! Does anyone know if there is any kind of shade at the park, or should we bring a canopy?
