Ok guys we have all talked about getting a meet up together.
So lets plan one! I can do it as long as it isnt the first sundays of the month cause I host a Local Artists market here in Lansing.

We would love to meet up. Does it need to be on a weekend? We are gone a lot in the summer but are home some weekends. Have you been to the dog park in East Lansing? My son said it was nice. I have not been to either that one or Hawk Island but am willing to give it a try. Wednesday nights are usually good for me or we could do the 13th or 14th 0f June. or July 18,19th or 25 or 26th of July. What do you think?
Any other Michigan corgis want to weigh in?? -

June 13th or 14th would work for us too. I work a lot of weekends but that is one of the few that I'm off.
If we go to the park in hawk island we will need mosquito spray- lots of it, We went last Thursday and got chewed up. I haven't been to the E.Lansing one yet, what's it like? -

June 13th would be good for as fathers day is the 14th. It can also be a weekday but I dont know if other people can get away.
I like hawk island but it is horribly buggy and well Kenobi always goes straight for that muddy pond they have. Havent been to the one in East Lansing where is that one? -

Father's day is the 21st I believe. The East Lansing park is on Chandler(Abbott turns into it) behind the Aquatic Park(same entrance). I am going to check it out next week. My son went and said it was nice and not buggy. I will let you know. The 13th or 14th works well for me.

Ok, I went and checked the E Lansing dog park today. It is pretty basic but not buggy and no pond. They do have a couple of muddy areas but they are not very big. I am going to try to see how busy it is in the morning on saturday or sunday. There are no tables or anything but we can bring balls and stuff to sit on. Is anyone able to go the weekend of the 14 or 15th of June?? I was thinking in the morning because maybe it won't be so busy. Unfortunately there is not a small dog area which is what I usually like. I just feel safer since people frequently don't have their dogs under control. I will keep you posted. If that doesn't work maybe we can get together at my house in Haslett. I have a fenced in yard.

Oh yes, it is fenced. It is just a field with a few trees on one side. Just nothing too fancy. No tables or trails or such. I have been to nicer ones in other towns. I just wanted to get a better feel for the people that go there on weekends. I tend to be a little over protective! I like parks with a small dog area so I feel like the shorties are safer. I will let you know. It is right behind the new water park on Chandler Rd.(Abbott on the other side of Lake Lansing Rd) so there is fairly easy access from the highway.

We went out to the East Lansing dog park on sunday morning about 10:30. There were a few friendly people there with big dogs. It was fine. If we want to get together next weekend I would suggest either saturday or sunday morning. There is no water or benches so we need to bring water and chairs if desired. It was not buggy and although there was a small amount of mud it was off to the side and not that attractive to the dogs.
Anyone in? If so any preference for days? -

Either morning would be fine. We should bring toys and water-- maybe snacks too? We don't have chairs, we can bring blankets though.
