This past week I have watched on facebook as Wendworth Corgis (one of our members) frantically searched for beautiful retired Champion Winston. He was recently retired to a new home and has been missing for almost a week. He is in the Broadview Heights area in northern Ohio. Has been sighted at the Briarwood Golf course. Any mycorgi members in that area keep an eye out for him. He is a beautiful red headed tri.
Just noticed this morning that the very famous Pudge the Poopster of Cori…

There is a cute tri-colored corgi in the Jackson Animal Shelter. He is on Petfinder. Anyone looking for a new family member? I hate seeing corgis in shelters!! Wish I could get him myself but just can't.
Thanks for the reply. I was hoping you had a magic formula... something you read that gave a guide line as to what others have done. I need to make some decisions.
We have put off a will for years now because my husband can't decide where he wants some of his personal items to go. I have thought about just making my will separate whether than wait for him. I want personal family items to go to my nieces, but I would like to donate all the money (minus some cash to pay for our dogs care) to our local humane society. I think that is a problem for him as well. Our family members don't need the money and we have no human kids, so I think that the money will serve the shelter better.
Thanks. Lisa
I read what you said in the discussion who looks after our animals when we are gone?
How much money do you think is reasonable to leave in the will for the care of each pet?
Did you work out an amount or just pick it off the top of your head? I have been thinking about this for a while and I want to put an amount in a will that would be fair. Should the amount be based on the age of the dogs at the time of my death? I just don't know where to start.
I noticed another woman said that her niece would reimburse the cost of medical treatments to the person that took her dogs, but I don't want my family to have to deal with this responsiblity for the number of years that this could go on. I would rather a lump sum go to the person who keeps my dogs. I just have no idea what would be a reasonable sum of money.
Thanks for any assistance you can give me in this.

Anna Morelli said… We have friends in Highlands Ranch and I used to stay in H.R. when I was looking for homes in Colorado. It's quite a big place now, was smaller then, almost 20 yrs ago, where does the time go ?!?
Anne said… Thank you, Bev. I am watching her close, but she is so active. The hardest time is when I take her outside, she wants to run and play so bad. I am keeping her on a short leash, and when I take her outside to relieve herself I bring her back in as soon as I think she has finished. She is not happy about it! lol Be glad when this healing is done.....

John Wolff said… Why thanks, Bev. We celebrated a weekend early with 2 perfect days largely above timberline, just me and Gwynnie. She's pushing 9 1/2, and still spry.
Al says I don't look a day over 60... but that I should consider getting an RV.
Carolyn Pippin and Gambler said… Bev.... So sorry for loss. Sparky IS running in the flowered covered field with Buffy and Scooter ( my fur-baby I had to send to the bridge last October)
