- Have had R & W Pembrokes my whole life, usually in pairs. Lucy, our now 5-yr old charmer, is a delight and keeps us laughing. We purposely picked a petite girl so that we could fly with her in the passenger cabin. We had our maiden voyage CA to NY (w. Lucy in the largest sized airline approved sherpa) and we all survived––esp. me, with the help of a bloody mary!
Fast forward a year and we re-homed a tri-male puppy who would have been in the pound if we didn't intervene. He had been left alone basically 24/7 in a backyard, and was all ribs and ears. He was a handful and the most difficult corgi I had ever owned. I don't know who was more upset by the decision to keep him, Jack, my husband, or Lucy. But all things happen for a reason. He's a wonderful, gentle and loyal corgi and we're all in love with him, including Lucy, (most of the time!), haha. RR turned 1 yo this month & surprised us all by becoming quite the looker. Lucy is 5. RR is twice her size, Everyone thinks that she's the puppy. Ya gotta love happy endings!!!

When we rehomed Ricky (aka Rafa) Lucy wouldn't let him sleep next to her. In fact, she wouldn't allow him to sleep on our bed! So I am happy to share these photos. I believe in miracles, haha! A BIG thank you to all mycorgi friends who gave so much support when we re-homed "The Rafanator!" xoxo wendy…
Continue Turmeric capsules for pain relief?

I just received an email from an orthopedic surgeon friend who had chronic back and leg pain. He wrote that he started taking 2 turmeric capsules and "cannot believe how much this has taken away my leg pain. This is best I have felt in over a decade and it has taken my limp away. I am usually a huge skeptic of these kind of treatment. It has only been a week and I know it may be placebo, but this has been very dramatic. So far, I have not had any side effects...Look it up in Wikipedia before…

Marion Hebert said… Just reading your comment about rehoming Ricky......It made me laugh.....I am now rehoming a "wild child". His name is KODI....he was given to me to help fill the void from losing Sammie....My poor wonderful female, Merry, is longing for her quiet home. We have a roaring bundle of energy....1 year old....long bodied Corgi....RED and WHITE...always on the move.....and very adept at driving Merry crazy. I don't know that this is what I bargained for.....I have to admit that his antics make me laugh...and then I fill up the holes that he digs...try to stay ahead of his racing through the garden (such as it is).....keep him from jumping over Merry.....and taking long (I do mean long) walks to wear down the energy level....I think that this is a hard way to feel young again....All I feel is exhausted.....:Oh Well, how can Merrry and I not love him....he acts just like my youngest (now adult) child.....I survived that.
Hope all is well at your home. Merry and Kodi are sending their love to Lucy and Ricky-Rafa.

And do you happen to know if Belroyd is still breeding? I just love their dogs. To me, it's the classic Corgi look. I mentioned once before that whenever I see a Corgi whose head and front end I love, it's a Belroyd line dog. If you look at pictures of my Jack, he's got the classic Belroyd head from his sire, Anwyl Winds O' Change (by Belroyd Knight Flyer).
