We took Aily and Sesame to the Lloyd Park in Downingtown,
It is THE BEST dog park ever!
Tons of grassy area to run around and water is crystal clear.
Only downside for us is that it is an hour drive for us.
But it's SO worth it.
They loved it there.
Highly recommended!!
WHAT: 8th Annual John DeBella Dog Walk
WHEN: Sunday May 1 from 11a-3pm
WHERE: Green Lane Park (2144 Snyder Rd Green Lane, PA 18054)
See below link for details.
http://www.wmgk.com/news/story.aspx?id=1211388Oppy (who we got from EZ Brook) was very well socialized already when we brought him home, but it also helped that both of our parents each had dogs that he could play with.
He's been pretty healthy so far, but those yearly visits (especially when they get shots) can get costly (he got 3 shots a few weeks ago and that was $200). We took him to PetSmart training classes around 1 year and that ran us something like $100 for 8 weeks.
If your pup is anything like Oppy, he's going to be insanely affectionate. Congrats on the addition.
Hi all- thanks for the tips! My husband and I went with a male corgi pup from EZbrook and plan on taking him home the first week of May. Yay! We're excited as this is our first dog/pet ever.
As I started thinking about the pet budget I couldn't help but notice how much first year expenses would be. How do you all save on pet care expenses - pet health care, pet supplies, puppy kindergarten for socialization, obedience training, etc? Also, is anyone doing the raw diet for your pet? (I heard it's much better for dogs in the long run, less costly vet bills, etc.) If so how is it working?
