Zed was adopted from a local animal shelter. Apparently he was picked up as a stray and had been ad the shelter for over a month when my wife found him online. 3 days later we went to look at him and he immediately stayed close to my wife...we took him home that day. He's been a great dog.

Sugar is (we think) a one-year-old Corgi/Wheaten Terrier mix who was dumped in a rural area and rescued by a neat local group that saves dogs from the brink of euthanasia. We found her through their ad on the internet while she was being fostered. Her foster mom had a Corgi mix and was quite certain that whatever the Terrier part was, there was definitely Corgi in there! (And, in truth, she is much more Corgi-like than Terrier -- except that she LOVES to dig.) Apparently her coat was so filthy that it took two baths to clean her up! She spent her first day with us behind a wing-backed chair, too shy to come out. The next day she got wet in the rain and after I dried her she laid her head on my knee. Awwww...everything changed from that point! She's still a bit skittish around strangers (we think she had been abused), but is as free and happy at home as can be. She's also amazing with our young kiddos, who love her dearly.
Ohio Valley Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club.  We submitted our adoption application sometime last fall before we got married in October and we were matched with 'Olga' in December.  She's now LeeLoo and proud of it!  She's our first corgi and she really makes our house feel like a home!  Here she is during her first winter at our new house!

Sid was the first Corgi who came into my life. . .he was given to me by a couple who couldn't care for him anymore. . .apparently this couple had interviewed 20 other people but when she met me, she said I was the "one". . .she said that she could tell from meeting me that Sid would have a wonderful home and that I would take extra special care of him. . .well I was very touched. . .I told her she would never have to worry about him. . .he would have the best care in the world. . .she cried as I drove off with Sid. . .I know how hard it was for her to give him up. . . .Sid is my little KING. . . .I fell in love with him so much I got him a little sister to play with, Babs. . .she's very sweet and loves to be hugged and scratched. . .she's my little PRINCESS. . .needless to say, I wanted another little girl so I got Cloe, who is a funny little thing, what a character, she Corgi talks all the time. . .she has a little star on the top of her head, so she's my little STAR. . .Sid and Babs welcomed her into their world right away and they love her as much as I do. . .they have taken her under their paws and are teaching her all the do(s) and don't(s). So the story continues with our new addition. Andy is a handsome little Corgi who was looking for a new home and how he found that forever home. He is full of energy and keeps me on my toes LOL. . . .They all look forward to their morning walks, enjoy their chewies, stuffed toys and going to the doggie park. . .I can't imagine life without them. . . .WHO KNEW????"

My Sammie is a Corgi/Lab mix. We adopted her 4 weeks ago from a shelter in washington. The shelter had found her in a tunnel on a highway in the middle of the mountains. If it were not for someone caring enough to call the shelter I would not have my little girl!!! She's so sweet! I believe you should get a dog that needs a home and I e rescued over breeding... These dogs don't deserve to be in cages and deserve to live the fullest. So many thanks to all of you who rescued!

My girlfriend and I adopted Buddy from the local animal shelter the day after he arrived. We were just dropping by to donate some cat litter and decided to have a look at the dog kennels. As we were walking, my girlfriend grabbed my arm and wouldn't let go. I looked at her and the group of dogs running up to the front of the cage. There was one dog that stayed behind all of them sitting patiently. We have been looking for a corgi for such a long time and decided that an older corgi would be better because of our schedules. After a few minutes of playing with Buddy we went to the front desk and signed the papers. We were only told that the previous owner was too sick to take care of him so he felt bad and decided that another owner would be better. Im so glad that we decided to adopt him because he has brought so much happiness to our lives.
